From NH.Com:
Asheville indie-pop combo stephaniesid make their NH debut on Sunday, May 3 with a show at Studio 99 in Nashua. the show is at 8pm, tickets are $7.
This tour is in support of the band's soon-to-be-released new full-length record Warm People (May 19th). the new record will be available at the show on CD and 180 gram clear red vinyl.
stephaniesid have long been regional favorites in WNC, having been voted by Mountain Xpress Weekly readers as "Best Indie Rock Band" for three years running, and often selling out shows in Western North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
Their last release, 2007's Grus americanus, gained a fair amount of national attention via superb reviews on NPR, HARP Magazine, Filter, The Big Takeover, and dozens of weeklies and dailies around the country.
stephaniesid listing as the "sleeper act" at last year's Bonnaroo Festival, along with song placements in the International Banff Mountain Festival Tour and the upcoming new Showtime Series Nurse Betty, have also set the band up for a national breakthrough on this new record.
"... a rather transcendent set. The band was different, melodic, quirky, and just plain good... a sleeper act which hit the mark with an almost Bjorklike panache. Ah, Iceland... again."
